How it works

Cut on the back,
keep the front clean

  1. Choose a design

Each kit runs from Level 1 to Level 5. Start where you feel comfortable.

  2. Cut along the printed lines

The lines are printed mirrored on the back of the sheet. Cut away everything grey.

  3. Turn it over

Your papercut faces the right way, without a single line showing.

  4. Mount and frame

Lay it on a colored backing card. At 8×10 in it fits a standard frame.

Questions

Before you give it

I have never cut paper. Is it for me?

Yes. Every kit starts with practice templates and Level 1 designs of a few dozen pieces. The lines are printed on the back of the sheet, so you only follow them with the knife.

Who is it for?

Adults and teens who enjoy a calm, hands-on evening. The knife is a real precision blade, so it is not a kit for young children.

Can I send it straight to them?

Yes. Enter their address at checkout. Every kit comes in its own box, so two gifts can go to two different people in separate orders.

Is the knife safe to ship and use?

The knife travels with its safety cap on and the spare blades in their own case. The illustrated guide shows how to hold it and how to change a blade.

What if I cut through a line?

Small slips happen to everyone and rarely show once the papercut sits on its backing card. Warm up on the practice templates first to get a feel for the blade.

How do I display it?

Lay the finished papercut on one of the three 8×10 in backing cards, blue, black or forest green. It fits a standard 8×10 frame.
